This year’s Minecon gave fans something to cheer up for as Mojang studio lead Jens Bergensten announced the upcoming launch of Minecraft for PC version 1.5 which he likes to call The Redstone Update. However, the update won’t be released until January next year so crafters will have to wait a little longer for it. The update aims to make the redstone—which is used to create many of the wonderful mechanical contraptions in the game—more predictable and consistent, Gamespot reports.
